THANK YOU

Dear Families,

It is so great to have everyone back from the winter break!  We concluded our winter sports program this Tuesday.  MANY THANKS to the many parents who volunteered their time to coordinate activities, chauffer, and chaperone our skiers, sledders, skaters, and boarders.  Staff members also chipped in their time to make it another successful winter sports program for our students.

Next week is our Drama Club performance on Wednesday, March 5 at 10am and 1:30pm.  If you can’t come during the day, the cast will have another performance on Thursday evening, March 6 at 6:30pm.  It’s a great opportunity to get together as a school community and watch our students shine.

Best wishes,

  Jen Hemmingson

NECAP Results

Dear Families,

This week we received our NECAP scores from the exams our students took in October.  The NECAP (New England Common Assessment Program) is the state-level test our students take each year about the content taught in the previous year in math and literacy.  The NECAP assessment scores are used to determine whether our school makes Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) and is deemed as a “successful” or “failing” school.  The school AYP determination is determined by the State and is not released until summer.  I think the NECAP data is good information for us, but I have always seen it as one piece of data and it is not the only way for us to judge our wonderful school.  With that said, I am very proud of the progress our school has made in the past few years.  It is indicative of the hard work of our teachers and students.

Thank you!  Jen Hemmingson
